The ASVAB is a test that measures your aptitude. It consists of 10 short individual tests covering Vocabulary, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic, Mathematical Knowledge, General Science, Machine and Shop Knowledge, Mechanical Understanding, Electronics Knowledge, Number Operations and Coding Speed. The Air Force trains pilots through a graduate training program. Air Force pilots are usually officers who choose pilot training points. Air Force flight training has strict vision requirements. Vision requirements for pilots are 20/50 and for navigators 20/200. Both should have 20/20 vision. Applicants with a history of photoretinal keratoplasty (PRK), radiation keratoplasty (RK), or in situ laser irradiation (LASIK) are not eligible for aviation.

If you have no prior service, your age should be between 17 and 35 years. Age requirements are different for healthcare professionals and people with previous experience. An Air Force Reserve recruiter can better answer your age question.
Note: If you have previous service, your adjusted age should be less than 40 years. To get your adjusted age, take your time period and actual time of service credit, resulting in your adjusted age.
